Design Blog #6: Initial Sketches
10/22/20262 min read
Good news! I have some pencil sketches of various allies and enemies for The Last Voyage of the Charon. These pieces are drawn by the talented Nicolàs Giocondino. He is a professional illustrator and comic-book artist whose work is featured in several RPGs by Gallant Knight Games, including Tiny Supers, Tiny Wasteland, and Destiny of Tides. I will post his blog information below.
First is Science Officer Petersen, a traumatized survivor of the Charon wreck.
Second is Petersen as an Imposter created by the Parasite (see below) to sow discord and mistrust among the player characters. Be careful who you trust!
Next is a Colonial Marine, one of five pregenerated player characters. The others are the Chief Mechanic, Medical Officer, Science Officer, and the Android.
The Clown is one of eight forms the Parasite takes as a Manifestation. Manifestations are monsters that terrorize the player characters in the first part of the adventure and are portions of the Parasite's biomass.
The horrific Parasite is the last fight the players will face aboard the Charon. A literal sum of all fears, the Parasite attacks the player characters at the end of the adventure in an attempt to claim them as its victims.
Stayed tuned for more artwork, and be sure to check out Nicolás' blog!
