Last Voyage Design Blog #1: Initial Sketches

Hi everyone,
Just a quick blog post today. I have some exciting news to share: I just got back the first sketches from Ozymandias Games' first book: The Last Voyage of the Charon! Cliff Gamble drew both; you’ll be seeing more of his art in the coming months. He drew the ghost of actress May Belle in a short Savage Worlds adventure we wrote together a year ago, The Haunting of Belle Manor.
The first drawing is the Marine, one of five pre-generated character sheets that come with the game. The Marine is fiercely loyal and brave, but foolhardy and arrogantly believes himself to be the only one who can protect the less combat-oriented crew members of the Charon.
The second image is a series of sketches for the cover art and concepts for the crash-landed vessel, the Polaris. Personally, I’m having trouble deciding which cover I like better.
I’m working closely with Cliff to refine these concepts, but it’s very exciting to show these off. Exciting times ahead!
